Hi!

No third-party tool yet seems to support the part
Can it be added?
I can provide some help in defining memory regions etc etc

Also, is it too difficult to add user-specified processors feature ? So a skilled user could add support for some new processor without the need to wait for update, then test his definition file and post here on the forum so everyone could use it?

Hi,

I have added PIC12F1612 and PIC12LF1612 support in the blow test version:
http://picpgm.picprojects.net/download/ ... 32-x86.exe

Please test it and let me know if it works. Thanks!

The problem is that many different PIC families have different programming algorithms, so it is not just done via changing some addresses and parameters.
But at least for new PICs which match with the programming specificaion of already implemented PICs this might be possible. I'll try to implement this in one of the next releases.

Regards,
Christian

Hi,

I have added the feature now also in the official releaseof PICPgm 1.9.0.0. Since I do not have the chip, it is currently untested.

Thank you!
Unfortunately I was somewhat limited in time so I decided to buy pickit3 which quite does what it's supposed to
I had to get rid of PC with native rs232 port so unfortunately I can not test the software right now
