Hi,

thanks for useful software we use on PC!

Are there some plans to support command line version for Linux running on ARM? We have device with Linux mainboard (A10 allwinner) and we plan to update firmware in connected pic16f1517.

Thanks for reply!

Hi,

yes, I'll release a first prototype of PICPgm which runs on a Raspberry Pi soon.
And also a release for the Banana Pi with Allwinner A20 is planned.

Christian

Hi,

I have released PICPgm 2.8.7.0 today, including an ARM build (currently the download is named as "raspi" - Raspberry Pi, but it will also run on other ARM hardware).
It programs the PIC via GPIO pins. The GPIO ports are accessed via the GPIO driver /sys/class/gpio. GPIO ports have to be configured in the pgmifcfg.xml. PICPgm has to be run as root.

Further details can be found here (as already said, Raspberry Pi is mentioned here, but it applies for other ARM boards as well):
http://picpgm.picprojects.net/install_raspberry_pi.html

Regards,
Christian
