Hello
i am an old user of pigpgm on xp system
but now i have a new laptop and ofcourse there is no more port com avaible
so i have made an USB picprogrammer with an UM245R (with high voltage or low voltage)
generaly i works on 18F2620 or 16F876
i have made a little programm (0x400byte)
and i have problem on verify (read) programm :
- i use version 1.9.2.0 or 2.9.2.0 (Windows mode or command line mode)
- the write programm code, eep, config is always good (check with my old JDM programmer on XP)
- on verify there are always few error on code (about 10 errors)
- if i made a new verify the error are not on the same byte
- it is the same thing in high voltage programmer or low voltage programmer
- the UM245R work well (tested with bit bang programm)
- i have try filtering data and clock line with some capacitor (no effect)
- i have fix programmer type and pic type : no effect
- different delay have no effect
- i have try older version of picpgm (1.8.2.0 and 2.8.2.0) same problem
- i have try on pic18f2620/18f4620/16f876/18f252 always the same problem ...
finally:
- i have try on my old XP laptop and programmer work well ! (programm and verify)
- i have try on my new laptop in VMware(virtualbox) XP 32bit and programmer work well ! (i use this solution for the moment...)
i have also see that the programming time are:(for 0x400byte)
- 2.9.2.0 on W7 64bit =>41s (with some verify error)
- 2.8.2.0 on W7 64bit =>22s (with some verify error) more quickly than the new version?
- 2.9.2.0 on VMware XP 32bit => 85s (with no error)
- 2.8.2.0 on VMware XP 32bit => 58s (with no error)

My laptop is a HP with core i5 64bit and it's seem that there is (perhasp) a background task which scan usb port and make fault reading...
if you have some idea on this problem
Anyway great thanks for your programm !
